Donated stuffed animals received new homes in the Scruffy Tails Humane Society’s adoption on Monday, July 18.
The process included picking out a stuffed animal, filling out an adoption certificate, and designing a collar.
Scruffy Tails also offered tours of their facility, as they have recently renovated and implemented new procedures. Some of the changes include portals in cages that provide more space, vaccination of animals on intake, new lighting in the dog kennels and enrichment rooms.
The largest upgrade was transforming the upstairs into a meeting area for their board members. The fresh coat of paint was donated by Crookston Paint and Glass and applied by the Nicholls family. The space will be used for the Humane Society’s board meetings, which occur every third Tuesday at 6 p.m.
If stuffed animals aren’t your cup of tea and you want to bring home a real pet, you can visit the Human Society at 720 E. Robert St or at the Farmer’s Markets and Ox Cart Days. There are plenty of cats and dogs to adopt, with a litter of kittens and Chihuahua-Shih Tzu mixes available in the next two weeks.
