The seventh annual Bikes for Tykes Teddy Bear Ride is one of two big benefit events in Rockwall this weekend, along with the 10th annual Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta.

Expect an active weekend in Rockwall with two big benefit events featuring rubber ducks and teddy bears as well as an assortment of Jeeps and motorcycles.

The 10th annual Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta and Jeep Festival, benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Northeast Texas Rockwall Branch, is scheduled at The Harbor starting at 8 a.m. Saturday. Supporters can “adopt” a rubber duck for $10 each. During the regatta, thousands of rubber ducks will race down the fountains at The Harbor in Rockwall.

Each adopted duck in the regatta receives a number, with many of the numbers designating prizes, including the grand prize of a Jeep Wrangler.

Other activities during the day include a Jeep Parade, live entertainment, the Shake Your Tail Feathers 5K and Fun Run, a Kids Zone, Yoga by the Lake, games and rides, a Jeep Zone, a Health Zone and more.

The Rockwall Virtual Duck Pluck is being presented by the Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta and the City of Rockwall.

Motorcycles and teddy bears will be filling the courthouse square Sunday for the seventh annual Bikes for Tykes Teddy Bear Ride benefiting the Children's Advocacy Center of Rockwall County. Grand Marshal for this year’s event is Rockwall County District Attorney Kenda Culpepper, who helped found the creation of the Children’s Advocacy Center and helped organize the first Bikes for Tykes event in 2015.

Hundreds of cyclists are expected to be on hand for this year’s event, which starts at 11 a.m. at the Rockwall County Courthouse, 1111 East Yellowjacket Lane in Rockwall. The ride itself begins at 1 p.m. and will be escorted by the Rockwall Police Department as cyclists cruise through 27 miles of Rockwall County, starting and finishing at the courthouse.

Registration is $25 per bike, with a new, unwrapped soft toy. The Americas Guardians Motorcycle Club is again  sponsoring the event.

The event is available to everyone, and riding a motorcycle is not required to participate.
