Product recall for a Toys For Girls LED Light Stuffed Bear presenting a high risk of Choking.

Product: Toys For Girls LED Light Stuffed Bear

Hazard: This product poses a high risk of choking due to easy access to small parts.

Corrective action: The product has been recalled from end users and the listing removed by the online marketplace (eBay).

This product poses a high risk of choking as when tested according to the tension test, the zipper, the springs of the batteries box, the light switch and the LED detached at forces between 38 N and 73 N and fit entirely within the small parts cylinder. The lighting ribbon has a length of 680 mm when subjected to a tensile force of 25 N ± 2 N, greater than the maximum authorised value of 220 mm.

The bag made of flexible plastics containing the toy has an area of 280 mm x 400 mm and its average sheet thickness is 0.017 mm, (which is less than the minimum permissible of 0.038mm), posing a potential asphyxiation hazard to young children.

The product does not comply fully with the marking requirements of the relevant standard and does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

The product has been recalled from end users.

The listing has been removed by the online marketplace (eBay).
