FRIDAY FIREWORKS AND MONDAY MOVIES IN CONEY ISLAND: Starting Friday, June 24, the Alliance for Coney Island launches the Friday Night Fireworks, considered the only such series in the tri-state area.

FILMING IN BAY RIDGE FOR SHOW ABOUT GRAVESEND: The NYC Office of Media and Entertainment notified the Community District 10 Office (serving Bay Ridge and Dyker Heights) of upcoming filming to take place for the television show “Gravesend Season 2 Unit 3.”

GRAND OPENING FOR NEW HOUSING, SUPERMARKET: The grand opening took place yesterday for 50 Penn, a 218-unit 100-percent affordable housing development at 50 Pennsylvania Avenue in East New York.
